Privacy and Data Processing Policy: 8th Latin American Go Congress 2026

In compliance with Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1074 of 2015 of the Republic of Colombia, the organization of the Latin American Go Congress 2026 (hereinafter, "The Organization") informs all registrants, attendees, and collaborators of its policy for the processing of personal data.

The Congress Organization, coordinated by the Colombian Go Association, with contact email congreso@colombiago.org, is responsible for managing the information collected.

2. Purpose of Collection

The data provided will be used exclusively for:

• Managing registrations and event accreditation.
• Organizing the competition bracket and pairings (McMahon/Swiss systems).
• Coordinating logistics (meals, transport, and accommodation).
• Sending relevant information before, during, and after the event.
• Publishing results and audiovisual material on official channels.

3. Rights of Data Subjects

As the data subject, you have the right to:

• Know, update, and rectify your personal data.
• Request proof of the authorization granted.
• Be informed about how your data has been used.
• Revoke authorization or request deletion of data when legal principles are not respected.
• Access your personal data free of charge.

4. Processing of Minors' Data

For minors, their data will be processed ensuring respect for their prevailing rights and with prior authorization from a parent or legal guardian, as stipulated in the registration form.

5. Validity

This policy is effective from its publication, and data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the stated purposes or as required by applicable law.
